The short version
We collect the least we can get away with: an email address so you can log back in, and whatever you choose to put on your website. We don't sell anything about you to anyone, ever.
Questions, or want your information deleted? Email hello@mooki.co.nz and we'll do it.
What we collect
Account details: your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — your name and profile picture as Google passes them to us. We never see your Google password.
Website content: the business name, phone number, email, address, hours, services, prices and photos you type in or upload. Anything you publish is public on purpose.
Technical basics: the usual server records (IP address, browser type, time of request) that any website receives, kept briefly to keep the service secure and working.
Photos
Photos are resized in your own browser before they're sent to us, and the hidden data phones attach — including the GPS location a photo was taken at — is stripped off in the process. It never reaches our servers.
Why we use it
To build and show your website, to let you log back into your account, to email you about your account or a payment, and to keep the service secure.
We don't run advertising trackers, and we don't sell or rent your information.
Who else can see it
A small number of service providers who help us run Mooki: our hosting and database provider, and our payment provider if you buy a domain. They only handle what they need to and can't use it for their own purposes.
We'll also hand over information if the law genuinely requires it.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. Delete a website and its photos go too. Close your account and we remove your details, apart from anything we're legally required to keep, such as payment records.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, correct it, or have it deleted — email hello@mooki.co.nz and we'll respond within 20 working days.
We use cookies only to keep you logged in. No advertising cookies.
