Terms of service

Who we are
Mooki is a website builder for local businesses, operated from New Zealand. You can reach us any time at hello@mooki.co.nz.
By making an account or using Mooki you agree to what's written on this page.
Your account
You need to be 16 or older and give a real email address. Keep your password to yourself — anything done from your account is treated as done by you.
You can close your account whenever you like. Tell us at hello@mooki.co.nz and we'll delete your account, your websites and your photos.
What's free and what's paid
Building a website, publishing it, every template and section, and unlimited changes are free, and we intend to keep them free.
The one paid thing is pointing your own domain name at your Mooki website — $12 a month or $99 a year. That also removes the small Mooki badge from your page.
You can cancel a paid domain any time. It stops at the end of the period you've already paid for; we don't give part refunds. Your website keeps working on its free Mooki address.
Your content stays yours
The words, photos, prices and logos you put on your website belong to you. You give us permission to store them and show them to visitors — that's all we need to run the service.
You promise you have the right to use everything you upload, and that it isn't illegal, misleading, hateful, adult, or someone else's work taken without permission.
We can take down a website that breaks these rules or the law, usually after emailing you first.
What we can't promise
We work hard to keep Mooki up, but we can't promise it will never go down, and we can't promise your website will rank anywhere in particular on Google. Google decides that, not us.
Mooki is not affiliated with Google. Where we explain Google Business Profile steps, that's guidance only.
Keep your own copy of anything you'd hate to lose. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you've paid us in the previous 12 months.
Changes to these terms
If we change anything important we'll email account holders before it takes effect. Carrying on using Mooki after that means you're fine with the change.
These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
